How do I spot a scam call?

The number on your screen cannot verify the caller. End the call and check the matter in the organisation's own app or through its published number.
The displayed number can be spoofed. A familiar number alone therefore does not verify the caller.
Urgency, threats, a request for secrecy or a demand to act during the call are warning signs.
A real matter needs none of that. Your bank, the police and Verohallinto (the Finnish Tax Administration) do not ask for credentials over the phone, and they do not tell you to move money to a safe account.
You can end the call without explaining and check the matter yourself.
