Should I be worried at all?
Answer first
Constant worry does not help. Make three free changes: protect your email, use unique passwords and check your router's support.
Sales pitches built around fear and urgency can make everyday risks look unmanageable. The basics can still be handled calmly.
A leaked password, a scam message and an unsupported device are practical risks that you can prepare for.
Not all of them require a paid service. Unique passwords, two-factor authentication and supported devices are a good start.
Make the changes one at a time and return to them when a device or service announces a change in support or settings.
