Is paid extra cover worth it?

A warranty and paid extra cover are different things. A warranty repair cannot cost you anything and cannot carry an excess.

A warranty running out does not end the seller’s liability. That liability runs for as long as a device of the same kind can reasonably be expected to last.

A paid agreement can cover damage that statutory liability does not. This may include wear or damage caused by something outside the device.

Before paying, read which events are covered and who decides whether the device is repaired. Compare the total price with the device price, excess and duration of the cover.
